ANCIENT WOODLAND RESTORATION
Ancient Woodlands in the UK are akin to the Equatorial Rainforest or the great Boreal Forest of the northern hemisphere. Whilst shaped by humans for thousands of years, they remain irreplaceable habitats and are a priority habitat for many species of flora and fauna.
Sadly, many of our ancient woodlands have been felled and replanted with non-native conifers (now classed as PAWS woodlands) and are in urgent need of restoration work.
With a long history of working on sensitive ancient woodland sites, we are well placed to provide you with both the guidance you need to restore these habitats, and also undertake the work ourselves using low impact & non-invasive methods.
This fairly unique system ensures a continuity of approach - the people providing your guidance are the same people that are undertaking the work on the ground.
